New Magical Items

I just wanted to share with everyone a few of the Magical Items I have recently created for Unchained Heroes and the Masterwork Rules that I am currently updating. These should be added in a future update.

Masterwork Equipment

  • Extremely well made equipment
  • Gives you additional benefits
  • Bonuses based on Equipment Type
  • 100% Selling Price of Standard Item Cost if sold

Certain Talents will allow you to create standard items with extraordinary value and additional benefits called Masterworks. Masterworks are the pinnacle of an art or craft. They are also known as masterpieces. When an object is created of Masterwork Quality, it immediately gains some additional benefits, value, and looks the part.
Masterwork items can be Armor, Weapons, Talismans, and even mundane equipment, but typically not Runes or Potions. Runes and Potions will have special rules if a Masterwork is applied. The bonuses they apply will be listed under their respective sections under Masterwork Benefits and the item is so valuable that it can be sold at 100% Standard Item Cost to a Retailer.

Magical Items

Gnomish Engineer’s Coat
Magical Armor [Medium Body Armor]
ILV: 11
This fantastic piece equipment changes its size and shape to fit any body type and was designed by Gnomist Engineers to provide extra protection from unexpected explosions.
Effect: Leather, +5 EQUP MOD to DEF, +25 DT, 20 EFT, RS 2, and has +1 Rune Slot and +1 Talisman Rune Slot.
Effect: (Active) Once per Day, as a Reaction, the Current Onslaught or Basic Attack Action that deals Fire or Cold Damage of which you are the target, is an Automatic Miss.

Gnomish Sorcerer’s Robes
Magical Armor [Light Body Armor]
ILV: 11
This amazing peice of armor changes its size and shape to fit any body type and was fashioned by the greatest Sorcerers of the Gnomish people to increase their effectiveness on the battlefield.
Effect: Robes, +3 EQUP MOD to DEF, +20 DT, 10 EFT, RS 1, and has +1 Rune Slot and +1 Weapon Rune Slot.
Effect: (Active) Once per Encounter, as a Reaction, your Current Action becomes an Automatic Hit and an Automatic Critical Effect.

Ogre Plate Mail
Magical Armor [Heavy Body Armor]
ILV: 11
The Ogres rarely let these masterpieces slip out of their hands, for they protect the wearer from both natural and supernatural powers equally.
Effect: Full Plate, +7 EQUP MOD to DEF, +35 DT, 20 EFT, RS 3, and has +1 Rune Slot that may be used for any Rune Type.
Effect: (Passive) The RS EQUP MOD granted by this Armor applies to both DEF and WILL.

Ogre Raiment
Magical Armor [Light Body Armor]
ILV: 11
As flamboyant and colorful as the Ogres that made this equipment, the strands of chaos infused within its threads protect the wearer from all manner of attacks.
Effect: Robes, +3 EQUP MOD to DEF, +20 DT, 0 EFT, RS 3, and has +1 Rune Slot that may be used for any Rune Type.
Effect: (Passive) The RS EQUP MOD granted by this Armor applies to both DEF and WILL.

Sentinel’s Leathers
Magical Armor [Light Body Armor]
ILV: 11
These leathers are used by Sentinel Scouts to provide protection and concealment in field missions.
Effect: Leather, +5 EQUP MOD to DEF, +25 DT, 20 EFT, RS 2.
Effect: (Active) Once per Day, as a Reaction you gain Stealth. This action may ignore the requirements of the Stealth Condition that there is a Concealment Condition in your Current Battle Zone.

Sentinel’s Shield
Magical Armor [Shield]
ILV: 11
A construct of the Elves, this shield provides light superior protection and an ability to avoid deadly surprises.
Effect: Kite Shield, +2 EQUP MOD to DEF, +30 DT, 20 EFT, RS 3.
Effect: (Passive) You and your Allies may never suffer the Surprised Condition during a Combat Encounter.
