Villain Stat Adjustments

I made a very important change to the Villains in Unchained Heroes TTRPG compared to the Villains in the Chronos: RTCS TTRPG. A picture speaks a thousand words, so I will let it do the talking and then I will do some explaining. On the left, in red, you see the Chronos Villain Stats and on the right, in blue, you will see the Unchained Heroes Villain Stats.            Unchained Heroes has lower Villain Statistics, for every Villain Grade on every level. Why would I adjust this you might ask? The answer is simple, people were having a tough time with the Villains “as-is” in the Core Rulebook....

The Samurai Gang

The last time I played Issachar in the Chizek Campaign was over 5 years ago now. At the end of the campaign he was a level 15 Dread Knight in Unchained Heroes with a title and lands on the Floating Realm of Chizek. Officially his title was Samurai, but he was more than a warrior in the service to the Emperor. He was teamed with Olenna, a deadly range Rogue and Grorst, a miraculous Paladin. I now give them the nickname of the Samurai Gang and this is how I remember the story. The Beginning Issachar Dreadblade was a blond-haired pale skinned man of 6 feet in height and modest build. His...

Lore Lite Philosophy

Here’s a quick post for everyone today about the Unchained Heroes philosophy on settings. Short version is that we don’t force one on you. The long version is below. Setting Philosophy I have played many games throughout the years and one overwhelming fact has always jumped out at me, I dislike the metaplot. Metaplot being the overarching setting content, stories, and universe that has already been made, in short it is the established canon. I rarely keep metaplots and if I do, it is only used as a reference point to tie my campaign to the greater universe. I don’t set my Star Wars games at...

To Kick or not to Kickstart?

It’s been one of my ideas since the beginning of the Chronos: RTCS/Unchained Heroes Saga that I would do a Kickstarter. My friends and family can attest to that (and would probably inwardly roll their eyes each time I mentioned anything about it). The first time I thought about it and began discussing it was in 2010, but I was not ready for prime-time. I thought I was, I had an official Copyright and I was “done”, but it wasn’t “finished”, I know that for sure now. Through the years I continued to talk about a Kickstarter and even planned for it, but in 5 years...
